COAL... this four letter word brings out many emotions in people. The purpose of this website is to provide information about coal itself as well as the coal industry in Alberta. Unfortunately, there are organizations in Alberta that publish misinformation and want to demonize the coal industry. They are proving a false narrative and in many instances are trying to hurt industry, communities and the livelihood of many families and individuals. In many instances these groups and people don't want to have a discussion or know actual facts, they are just against any coal related industry because of only what they believe. This website is being developed to try to help people better understand the coal mining industry and to help provide actual factual information rather than just opinion or half-truths.
